Escondido, San Diego County, CA --- Each year, when the weather chills and the leaves begin to fall, Stone Brewing Co. releases the much-feared Double Bastard Ale. Stone has also been releasing OAKED Arrogant Bastard Ale every November since 2004. Both beers will begin hitting shelves on Monday, October 30th, and disappearing soon thereafter. However, the brewers from Stone have a little surprise in store this year, and for the first time ever, OAKED Arrogant Bastard Ale will be available in 6-packs!

For nine years Arrogant Bastard Ale has been shocking palates and turning the brewing world upside down. The beer has accurately been described as an "angry" beer with a massive flavor profile. Both adaptations, OAKED Arrogant Bastard Ale and Double Bastard Ale, easily fit that moniker, but words like complex, rich, intense, and sophisticated can describe this years offerings as well.

“Each beer possesses very different flavor characteristics and complexity, while retaining the intensity of the original Bastard,” said Stone Head Brewer Mitch Steele. “Oaked Arrogant Bastard Ale has the strong flavor of American oak, vanilla, and malt, while the Double Bastard Ale is a huge beer, dominated by malt, fruit, fresh hops and alcohol.”

Double Bastard Ale will once again be offered in 22oz bottles and the large 3 Liter bottles, while OAKED Arrogant Bastard Ale will only be available in 6-packs containing the new 12oz bottles.
