Arrogance Around the World

South Dakota is not exactly heaven for beer lovers (or for anyone else, for
that matter). But for our annual ski trip to the Black Hills, my home
brewing partner Mike and I wanted something special.

I found the Arrogant Bastard web site and ordered some through Beer on the
Wall. We enjoyed AB in the post-ski hot tub, out on the deck surrounded by
the majesty of the Black Hills pine forest. While Mike and I were warmed and
fortified by AB's depth and power, our wives and several other alleged men
in our group drank some mass-produced fizzy stuff that only made them have
to pee a lot.

On the way home, we decided to commemorate our introduction to AB with a
photo of a SD landmark. We stopped at the world's only Corn Palace
(Mitchell, SD) an auditorium/arena decorated externally with murals made up
only of ears of corn. It is on the National Register of Historic places.
Really!

I would guess this could be AB's first foray into the wilds of S.D., but
hopefully not the last.
